A nice place to sit and enjoy the rain. It has a nice view of the volcano, plus part of the gardens frequented by humming birds, guans, and other birds.
The Japanese Tea House has a nice view of the pond, and is surrounded by rock gardens planted with Asian ornamental species.
Be aware that all of the paths to tea house are somewhat rocky and uneven, and may be tricky for some visitors to negotiate.
Great field, parking is limited, and traffic inside the soccer plex can be time consuming
Woodley Gardens is a great urban park with ball fields, a playground, public art, and a large, covered picnic pavilion. Adjacent to Watts Branch and wooded areas, the park is also frequented by wildlife, including blue herons, Canada geese, whitetail deer, red foxes, groundhogs, Eastern cottontails, and even the occasional skunk.
The park is also home to a Free Little Library box.
A secluded neighborhood park with mature trees and a small stream. There's a covered picnic pavilion with barbecue grills. The pavilion can be reserved through the City of Rockville.
