Comfort food or Bak kut teh - soup is not too herbal or peppery, good blend. So my kids can take it. Some of these soups are too peppery for my kids or the herbal taste too strong. This is just right and you can add so many other ingredients. The other side dishes such as the sesame seed oil chicken rocks too! Just that service can’t be top notch as they are very very busy!
This park has seen way better days. Not crowded but it had lost its gloss. It’s like a park on a Sunday stroll. Price wise is good as it’s really meant for the locals. The water park inside is quite empty too. Some rides are closed. It needs a major revamp. The toilets in the water park are grimy and slimy.
Cheap local fare. No frills comfort food. Short drive from Tuas check point, ample parking and no crazy crowd. All store owners were friendly!
Char Kway Teow
Chicken rice
Mixed rice
Dim sum
Pork noodles (loved the soup, generous serving of meat)
Fish noodles
Wanton noodles (nice! At least I like)
Curry noodles
Roti Prata (damn flaky and good! 50cents for one kosong!)
Butter sugar toast and eggs (standard is there)
Only downside? Toilet… avoid if you can…
