Compass Coffee

This one is WAY better than the compass coffee in front of McPherson Square. I have visited the McPherson Square location 4 times and every single time in met with surly attitudes and my order is always wrong.

Not so with this place! Night and day. Although the McPherson location is better for me I'm making the trek to this location. Great customer service, it's huge ans has a lot of seating, very light filled, and the menu seems better. When I went they had a "local" flair type coffee which was absolutely delightful. It was. Lavender something or other. I rarely give 5 stars across the board but this spot
*earned* it
We did the 3.5 Mile loop. Sooooo pretty but it was intense because my group didn't give us a heads up about the rocks that need to be scaled.

So. If you're going be warned you will have to scale rocks on the trail. Lots of them.
Stanton Park

Beautiful park. I came here to see the mangolia cherry blossoms a few weeks ago but sadly there aren't any of those types of trees in this park. I was misled by the internet. Still a great park though. Plenty if benches and trees
Rubell Museum DC

Ive been trying to come to the Rubell since it opened and the wait was worth it. The museum is an adapted high school that Marvin Gaye attended, and the entire musuem is curated around his song "what's going on"

I love how the school has been lovingly restored and is just as much on display as tnt art works. Speaking of, the curators are masters of their work! Each peice is carefully exhibited and hung to best display the art. 10/10 will definitely come back and you should too.

Heads up you have to grab a timed ticket so don't just pop up at the musuem.

Three of my all time favorite artists have works here and i was pleasantly surprised! I wont post pics of the art because i don't want to spoil it for you. But I've posted pictures of the exhibition texts.
