A very nice collection of fine art, including lesser-known pieces by Calder and Warhol. There is also a small but interesting room covering the history of the hospital with some medical artifacts, including an iron lung machine.

Was very quiet the weekday afternoon I was there. Well worth a visit if you are nearby with a bit of time to kill.

Hard to find! Take the F elevator to the 8th floor, turn right out of the elevator banks and then right again and follow the hallway.

New show "PAREIDOLIA" that opens 6/24/23 is very worth the trip. Really deep and good stuff, and Jennifer was a very generous guide, offering lots of background knowledge.

UPDATE: The trail is now fully open and amazing! We make it to Tarrytown and it was really a spectacular ride.

Now if only they can make a better way to get the trail head from Manhattan because the current path though the Bronx is not bike friendly at all...

Amazing!

It can be hard to find good vegetarian in Soundview, but El Molcajete has great choices for everyone. As soon as they brought the salsa (fresh and watery, not like Pace Chunky from a jar) I knew this was going to be good. I got the vegetable tacos and queso asada tacos and both were fresh and delicious with real vegetables like broccoli, carrots, string beans, and I think some cactus. Really tasty. My brother got something that looked like a round sandwich with beef tongue in it and reported that it was also excellent and a bit spicy (in a good way). We will definitely be going back!
