Shawarma Grill
Came here 12 years ago and this shop has really gone downhill since its last owner Faisal. The main highlights were the grilled chicken cubes and trio of sauces.
Didn’t notice too much love going into the food.
Ordered grilled chicken which comes in cubes and lamb shawarma.
Chicken ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Came sizzling but was a bit dry, nothing special
Lamb shawarma ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Overcooked, not fresh
Naan bread ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Tasted fresh
Trio of sauces ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The best sauces I’ve tasted in a long time and complemented the dishes: Chilli, chutney and garlic. I would come here just for the naan and sauce
Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Overpriced for what they were worth
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - A bit toasty, visible sign of AC unit but wasn’t turned on given the weather conditions.
It was 17:00 and the shop was empty, hardly any customers.
Hospitable owner but wouldn’t ever return here for Shawarma.

Shish Turkish Restaurant
Turkish restaurant run by Bangladeshis.
Ordered x4 ‘grilled’ chicken wings, x4 naga wings and rice.
NEVER RETURNING again.
- Very poor customer service (waiter looked like he didn’t know what he was doing and he nor the manager apologised for the oily ‘grilled’ wings. MISERABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL staff.
- FOOD was poor quality: stiff chicken wings like they were leftovers from two days ago. Salad and naan bread was a nice touch though.
- ATMOSPHERE: dinghy basement. Kitchen is in front of the tables so you can hear the noise.
Overall, I had a terrible experience. Wouldn’t recommend coming here to anyone but maybe you’ll catch them on a good day and be fortunate unlike me and the other people.
