The Mystery Spot
2023 Sep 12
So much peace and tranquility in this place!
Friendly, and enthusiastic, staff and interesting sights. It is a nice escape from life's fast pace. My little kid enjoyed it a lot.

Sitting there at the table, under super high trees, with cool breeze, in a nicely designed area, you get a surreal feeling, that is rare to have in crowded California. So I guess the trip here is not so much about experiencing the "mystery unbalance" as much as it is about feeling the holistic calmness and peacefulness of the place that can be great for relieving stress.

You can bring your own food or buy from their "canteen".
I was supposed to get a ticket fee waiver as a military discount, but for some reason ended up only getting free parking.
The hike up in the forest across from the gate was a nice one although a little steep in some parts.
Nice park with so much fun for the kids and adults too. Our little one enjoyed all the rides and water activities, especially the wave pool. No super long lines for the rides. Not too crowded.
Food is overpriced, as usual, and you can't bring in your own.

Parking is $6 for the day, and on some days it is free.

Better to go arrive there early, before they open, since there is usually a long line of people waiting to enter. Also, arriving early will guarantee finding a good spot with a shade to relax. There are plenty of free spots all over the park, in addition to the cabana rentals, but the good ones get taken quickly.

Life guards, in addition to life jackets, are available at every water pool making you feel safe to have your kids play.

Great place for the family to enjoy.
Nice open museum for families to check out while in the area. Kids will like it. Good location close to the beach. It's free and there is a small gift shop.
A great place for kids to experiment and enjoy discovering some interesting scientific phenomena. There is a lot to do and our little one got so engaged that she didn't want to go home at the end of the day. They have a place for dining outside that overlooks the whole Bay area but the wind was blowing hard up there. The 3D documentary was fun to watch for all ages. Staff are courteous and helpful. I definitely recommend this place. There were plenty of parking spaces, but not for free.
