Great service and ambiance. The food was generally pretty good but I did wish that the Shakshouka was overloaded with spices and could rein that in a bit.

Great, amazingly tasty dishes! Every dish was very well executed and packed with flavor. My favorite was the Berkshire pork loin.
Our server who took our orders was attentive and friendly. However, the rest of the servers, who delivered our dishes, were aloof and even borderline rude. Often they would put the dishes near the edge of the table and walk away without a word, without placing them so each of us could easily reach them. It's a shame because the meal was excellent otherwise.
The ambiance was nice. It has a modern, but relaxed vibe.
Overall, I'd recommend. But the service makes me hesitate to go back.

A great new American dining experience with some unique dishes. We had the gem lettuces, the roasted sweet potatoes, the date pizza, and the roasted short rib.
The lettuces were OK. The lavender lemonade I ordered was a tad bit too strong in its tartness and sweetness. The rest of the meal was great, though. The sweet potatoes had many amazing layers of flavor. The date pizza was my favorite. The sweetness from the dates worked really well with the bitterness or the radicchio to create a unique flavor unlike any I'd had on a pizza. The short rib didn't have any twists but was just very well executed.
The ambiance was nice and relaxed with dimmed lights. The service was great. I'd go back to this place to try their other dishes.

We went here for galbi and naengmyun, and unfortunately, they did not impress.
For the marinated ribs, at $35/order, they did not offer a lot of meat. Their thinly sliced brisket was chewy. Their naengmyun was good but not great.
My biggest problem is actually with how they serve the meat. The grill is unfortunately situated a bit far from the serving end of the table. So the server has to reach in order to cook the meat. That in itself isn't bad, but it becomes a problem when the server periodically scrapes the grilling pan. I don't know why they don't simply switch the pan out. During our meal, the server literally cleaned pan in front of us, during our meal, while we're having conversations, with a bottle of water and a scraper 4 times. Each time, it took a few minutes. Besides the awkwardness, the server had no choice but to get rather invasive with her elbows in our faces while she strained to scrape the pan.
To make the experience worse, the naengmyun that was supposed to come out with the meat, came very late when we were almost finished with the meat.
We'll not return.

I live here.
A few facts:
- Built in 1985. Renovation complete in 2012/2013.
- Walls are not thin, but some noises travel. You can definitely hear your neighbor sneeze/cough, babies cry, some mumbled conversations. But overall, it's generally pretty quiet especially because a lot of families live here and they don't party late, etc.
- They have a laundry service (wash, dry cleaning, fold, ironing, etc) in addition to the laundry room. Usually ~$10 per wash.
- Pool, gym, rooftop, lobby. All well maintained.
- A few blocks from subway lines 1, R, 4 and 5.
- One block away from Hudson!
The management team here is really good. They don't always do an A+ job, but they are attentive and do their best.
The only downside of this place is that the common charges are pretty high. =(
