Yakiniku West

Been here a few times before, really liked it, comparing to those chained yakiniku restaurants. This is the first time visit, post covid, still enjoyed it.

Price & Food - To my surprise, they launched AYCE menu, which I’ve never expected in a Japanese restaurant. Pretty good deal, with $38/$48/$58 level, all comes with appetizers, sides and desserts. We went with the $58 one with US Kobe. Quality of the meat are not great but definitely beyond average. Well seasoned and fresh. Worth the price! And a great selections of food.

Service - slow but very typical hospitable Japanese style service.

Vibe - honestly I prefer the traditional Japanese style but the place was clean and neat.

Parking - easy street parking.

Would definitely return.

I have heard so many good things about this brand, so when I visited SoCal, I tried it out on first day of my trip. Had to say I was a bit disappointed and give it 3/5.

Food - big portion. The pot is stuffed with a great varieties of ingredients and is very filling. We ordered beef hot soup, house special and for their BOGO 50 boba and appetizer, two each. I personally like the beef hot soup but my husband told me the the house special did not meet his expectation, not bad though. Both drinks and appetizers were okay.

Price - unbelievably reasonable. With all above mentioned, we ended up paying $50ish. Maybe because we are traveling from NYC? Everything seems so reasonable, except for the gas, lol.

Service - slow. Staffs were nice but very slow.

Atmosphere - big disappointment. The restaurant looks dirty, from the floor to table to chairs to her bathroom. The bench that I sat has stains on it, which seems to sit there for quite sometime already. The bathroom has stains all over the sink and toilet. And the sauce containers did not get cleaned have sauce everywhere. Wish they pay more attention to this.

Overall, 3/5. Good food but definitely need to work out something for the cleanness.
Georgia Diner

A very typical diner with great menu selections. Normally, I don’t like to go to diner but wanted to give this a try, since we always pass by here on our way back from Queens Blvd. As a party of 2 adults and 1 preschooler, we got waffle with chicken tenders (the tenders were amazingly juicy), salad(forgot what we got but the portion size was WOW), sausage & eggs, mussel pasta, clam chowder, cappuccino, all come with very big portion and we also got bread for free. All three of us left with very full stomach and had to get to go, we did order a lot though. Honestly the food wasn’t that great great but definitely above average and beyond my expectation. The bill was surprisingly reasonable, with all these, we ended up paying $80ish. Will def return.
Second time trying Peruvian food, it wasn't as impressive as my very first one, which was a few years back at another restaurant but this time was good enough. Went on a Sunday night, the restaurant reached its full capacity, but the service was still good, waitress was patient and kind to give us recommendations, the food was good. Would recommend.
