I don't know much about when the place was built, but It was a declaration of the town some time ago. It's a good spot to brush up on history of African Americans in Rockland county NY, and so forth. If want it know why they matter in this part of NY and most of America, stop by this place.

Not the same as it once was, but it's an improvement. There's a playground, a restaurant with some good food now. May want to get a full time cleaning crew to keep the place tidy. Still a pleasant spot if the weather is good.
