TOT Little Tokyo
2023 Oct 19
My new favorite restaurant in Little Tokyo because of its price, generosity, and quality. Delicious food, variety of options on their menu, good service, and spacious atmosphere.

This place reminds us of Ginza Bairin in Hawaii - which top notch Japanese Tonkatsu. Their spicy miso soup is also very delicious abd unique.

Would love to come back here to try other items.
Pasta Roma
2023 Aug 22
Update 9/14/23: I got the Farfalle Gustose this time, and it was REALLY good (9/10). It’s a bowtie pasta w/ mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, baby shrimp, and basil in a light cream sauce. I added chicken too.

We ordered Pasta Roma to work for lunch. The salmone pizza was surprisingly so good (8/1). Definitely threw me off at first because it seemed like a pizza version of a lox-bagel. I got the spinach alfredo which was a 4/10 and the salmon was very salty. The cream linguini pastas with shrimp and scallop were 8/10 and pretty solid. The tomato pasta was also pretty solid. Marg pizza was ok 6/10. I would order from here again. What I like the most about this place is the affordability and the variety in menu.
My absolute favorite gimbaps that take on the trending gimbap+tteokbokki in Korea right now. These gimbaps are absolute gems. They look like they came out of an emperors’ kitchen.

Jaws’ gimbaps are jam-packed with meat and veggies, have minimal rice, and go well with their dipping sauces. My favorite dipping sauces are the Wholegrain Mustard and Wasabi Mayo. My favorite kimbaps are Bareun kimbap and Keto kimbap. They all taste very healthy, clean, fresh, and flavorful.

I also tried the Rose tteokbokki, and holy shmoly. I’m a petite woman, but I managed to finish it because it was amazing.

They just opened up a location in K-town LA, and it tastes very similar :)
