As an Indian, I find the food here good and I would bring non-Indian friends/ acquaintances over - the bigger the group the better as it helps with sharing plates. Prices are not very high and the ambience is really nice and well thought of. The staff was helpful and the service was pretty efficient.
Worth the detour from the Grote Markt area to visit this Catholic cathedral. The audio guide is totally worth it as it explain the architect’s design concept and more details surrounding the history of the church. There is a Museum underneath that we skipped due to a time crunch. The climb to the clock tower was not available on that day (Sunday). The stained glass windows, the glazed stones, the interplay of light and shadows was quite beautiful.
I can see how this place could be pretty in Spring and Summer, but right now in mid March, there’s not a lot to see. It is still a great place to walk around and enjoy the sun and breeze.
Excellent shop for Indian groceries - oils, rice, atta, spices, instant noodles, frozen food items like roti & curry leaves, even vegetables including green chilies. The owner is very friendly and can speak English. The shop also sells a lot of ingredients from other cuisines.
We stopped by for lunch on a Saturday a few weeks ago and we had a pleasant experience. Amazing creamy tasty spaghetti carbonara. The Italiano burger was also really well done - crispy, juicy and just right. We tried the Tiramisu based on staff recommendation and I realized I prefer the original version. My partner loved it though. The prices are high, though. But then most restaurants in the area were. We were surprised by that because we were coming from Amsterdam.
