Absolutely terrible. Had overseas family there to eat what was supposed to be be a typical German meal in a nice setting, the food was a disaster - I have lived in Stuttgart for the best part of 15 years, the Käsespätzle was a crime, like out of a Kraft packet meal. The kids wouldn’t eat it. My zwiebelschnizel had stone cold onions on it; the half chicken was served with ketchup (not even on the side). And the bratkartoffeln, pan fried potatoes tasted and had the consistency like they were cooked day/s before. The only fresh thing cooked here was the egg on the leberkäse - what an absolute flop of a restaurant. Would never ever eat here again. One star given to atmosphere only. Service staff were very adhoc and uncoordinated.

Massive price increases, # 14, 6.90€ to 9.50€. Sooty, yet better value close by for Asian food - they are trying to make more money on the back of so called inflation.

Tried it for the first time with a quick spring roll pack. Tasted ok but to the eye was not appetising, maybe the frying oil was too old? Or wrong temperature? Will give this place another go though.

The concept is great, yet dinner is better value than lunch. I’m not a fish person, yet if you are, and play it right, good value for money. Stay away from cheap rice, noodles and fried food, and stick to the top ticket items. Great for a large contingent of friends on a table.

I know why they call it the small lake…. In any case worth the trip and the kids loved running around it - albeit several times

Thought it was about time to give this restaurant another try. This time on a Wednesday for Schnitzel day, €9,90 with pommes and salad. The restaurant was quite busy and the service definitely improved since the last time. For a Wednesday well staffed I’d say. The schnitzels were great. Very good portion size, and great value for money in these inflationary times. Back to 4 stars for me. This restaurant is well worth the visit, and will be back here again sometime soon.

Returned in June 2022 to this establishment in the hope to increase from 4 to 5 stars. Yet have to reduce from 4 to 3 stars. Ordered a similar order. Fish fingers and chips reduced from 5 fish fingers to 3. Chips are also a smaller portion. French onion soup was 3/4 size, bland, and lacking onions - was more of a bread soup. The Pljeskavica was this time not a good choice, the meat was think and the cheese watery. The service team was totally overwhelmed, even though there was a pre planned party inside. Decided not to stick around for dessert this time. A pity really as I really thought this place had potential. Yet if the meals change so dramatically in just 6 months, sorry, but I like consistency and not an adhoc meal.

Was very impressed with this restaurant when I visited on a Saturday evening in January. Chicken nuggets and chips, and fish fingers and chips for the kids. Both nuggets and fish fingers appeared to be pan fried rather than deep fried which is always a plus for me and the kids definitely enjoyed it. Delicious French Onion Soup for me which was Devine and as good as I’ve had anywhere around the world including France. And the Saturday cheese filled Pljeskavica special which was just as delicious. Unfortunately lost one star as I was served a mixed salad that I didn’t order, so refused it, and was charged for a round of drinks from the next table. Yes both honest mistakes, yet I only realised the overcharge when I was back at my car. All was politely solved when I returned to the restaurant. Will definitely be back and hopefully sitting outside this time - great atmosphere. And who knows, maybe after next time I’ll reassess to 5 stars as the food and service deserves it.
Oh and yes, the salad leaf garnish was a little old, see photo. Kids loved the desserts
