Renovated on 9th June 2017, the “Funicolare di Castel San Pietro” is the enchanting cable railway climbing over “Colle San Pietro” hill starting steps away from Ponte Pietra 1st Century B.C. 92.80m Roman bridge and reaching in two steps the majestic Hilltop Romanesque fortress few hundreds m a.s.l. with terraces offering the most romantic 360º panoramic views over the medieval Verona and its u-shaped river Adige. It is the alternative to the otherwise more iconic 231 steps climb through exotic alleys alongside stone walls, colorful picturesque houses and verdant gardens over the 1st Century B.C. Theatre. Each cable car hosts max 25 pp and is running along a length of 159m and performing a 55m vertical climb reaching 37% steepness level. Go here if you are looking for top service, great vibes, classy guests, quality over other things. Ideally recommended for couples for a romantic gateway. Sun loungers comes Mon-Fri at AED 150 pp, Sat-Sun at AED 200 pp. Apart exceptions, lunch is consumed at the Drift bar close to the pool, where for example you can get a tasty Black truffle pizza at 145 AED, Margherita at 70 AED. Top notch experience. Kudos to Alex from personnel for the usual care in his service.

The Palazzo Maffei Casa Museo is hosted in the astonishing 17th century baroque palace overlooking the majestic medieval “Piazza Erbe”. It hosts a newly renovated museum with an incredibly wide range of different artworks from Roman sculptures to Andy Warhol’s pop art and Futurism. Most notably a beautiful white marble head sculpture of the Roman emperor Marco Aurelio 2nd century AD, Pablo Picasso’s “Femme assise” 1953, Warhol’s “One Multicolored Marylin” 1979, Giorgio De Chirico’s “Il saluto dell’amico lontano” 1916, Lucio Fontana’s “Concetto Spaziale, Attesa” 1961. Absolutely worth the ticket (13.50€ Adults). Tip: Admire the helix-shaped spiral staircase which does not have any central support, similar to the worldwide famous Bramante’s 16th century Vatican museums one. A pure architectural marvel.

Barfussbar is located within the Frauenbad Stadthausquai which, open for swimming everyday from 11th May to 15th Sept 11am-7:30pm, is an art nouveau open-air historical 1888 timber public bath, part of the Seeuferanlage promenade, dedicated solely to women swimming; On three evenings a week (Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday) the bathing facility opens its doors to men as well for Barfussbar lounge/electronic music live, romantic and chilled concerts from 20 to 0:30; Barfussbar sells snacks and beverages; My choice: Stadt Zürich Rosé AOC, Pinot Noir, 1dl glass, 8 CHF;
