Cash Lake Trail
2024 Jun 27
Quick and easy trail. People fish around the perimeter of the lake. Plenty of free parking at the natural refuge center. The trail itself is so well maintained and clean with plenty of signs and maps to prevent getting lost with various intersections to get to other trails. Great trail.
Moderately challenging with an escalating difficulty. Perfect for beginners and experienced alike. Starts off easy with a simple incline, then it transitions into navigating through jetties of rocks like walking through a seawall to only culminate to a hefty steep; every step a squat. The gorgeous view at the end is definitely worth the pounding pain in your legs. Parking fits about 30 cars (do not park on the street bc it will be towed). Free of entry. Quite popular so maybe go on a weekday or early in the weekend. There are walking sticks offered at the start. Well marked (stay along the white marks) and maintained well.
For a strip mall, the parking is decent but can easily get congested after 3pm. I usually come here for the bookstore.
Not the best trail honestly. Not much to look at nor is it much of a challenge. Wear pants and some long sleeves as the roots prick at ya. Parking is free at least.
Boat rentals, picnic tables, trails. Busy during the hot weekends but that's what gives it life. Lovely place to set up a party during a sunny day or just to chill with your friends.
