Independent Pilgrim

I came to Germany from Lithuania and was surprised to find out that there are no self-checkout counters in the stores here. I went to Lidl in the evening to spend my extra money on German products, but when I approached the checkout, I saw that the queue stretched for tens of meters. So I just abandoned my basket and left. I hate queues and didn't want to stand in the store for half an hour. You lost a customer. In Lithuania, we have supermarkets where there are also queues, but there are many more self-checkout counters, they are more compact, and the service is faster.

I had breakfast at this place. It was pretty good. I ordered a simple omelette for 7.90€. It came with two buns, a small piece of butter, green salad, and some dip. That's it. The omelette was really tasty and tender.

This restaurant is amazing! Great prices for amazing food! When I came to them, it turned out that they serve lunch of the day and it's 7.50-7.90 for a full meal with soup. I was scared about the high prices in Berlin, but it's not true. I got a great, delicious soup, main meat dish, delicious, tender chicken, basmati rice and naan. After 8 hours without food, I was immensely happy. By the way, if I'm not mistaken, all the neighborhood restaurants offer a more expensive lunch. Thank you so much for that lunch!
