Concept Coffee
My friends and I stumbled upon Concept Coffee only a few weeks ago, and it immediately became our go-to spot in LIC for a morning treat or a remote-work spot! (Already been back 7+ times... and counting)
This is one of the few coffee shops that does matcha/tea really well, not just as an afterthought. My repeat order has been "The Serhant" (ube matcha), which is so fragrant and flavorful and also just beautiful. The matcha really comes through without being overpowering. The ice in the drink also melts so evenly so you never end up with a watered-down drink or a lot of ice at the bottom -- it's such a small detail but makes a huge difference in the drink experience. The pastries are all amazing as well, especially the cranberry scone.
Andrew, the owner, is very friendly and gets to know his repeat customers, dogs and humans alike. He brings San Diego energy to NYC, really setting the tone for a laidback and sunny vibe in the space.
