Such a cool trail!! So neat to imagine what it would have been like when it was created! It is a somewhat strenuous hike with stairs and hills but so much beauty! Well worth the effort!

So beautiful!! A great place for a stroll! So many beautiful and amazing plants, great places to sit and be in nature and overall great place! So glad we spent time here!

A necessary part of visiting the Statue of Liberty, no other way to get to the island. The prices are okay, the boats were easy to navigate and find a spot to stand or sit. The views from the boat were great. The on/off loading was pretty slow, felt like being herded like cattle a little bit. It was better when we stayed near the exit on the boat so we didn't have to wait so long to get off. Wish they had more than one door to load and unload or a bigger one out the back like a ferry. Just be ready to wait in lines and be told over and over to keep moving....

This was a huge history lesson! Wow! The Junior Ranger program was a great place to start, with lots of good information to learn. The film is very informative and the little museum helps you see a little glimpse of what it might have been like. We then did the driving tour and tried to imagine what it might have been like. It was huge! They have a small detour that makes it hard to get to the USS Cairo but you cab if you keep following the signs. Fascinating place to visit and be thankful for the sacrifice those that fought in this long battle gave.
