Looking for a date to escape the summer heat, we decided on iPic Theaters. Now keep in mind that this is my first time experiencing a full service movie theater where there are waiters bringing food and beverages/and being able to lounge comfortable in a seat. Safe to say, I’m probably not going back to any normal movie theater from here on out. The theater was extremely clean, the chairs were super comfortable, and an added perk that the movie was phenomenal as well.

Great date idea to escape the rain or the hot weather.

Before I moved to the area 5 years ago, this was plaster on my Pinterest board nonstop. Let me just say, I’m glad I finally got to go here. The spot is adorable inside and out, staff is lovely and attentive, and the food just puts a smile on your face. I ended up sharing the below with my boyfriend:

-Tyrokafteri (spicy feta): oddly a lot of dill but I loved it for that. The pita that came with this was so warm and delicious.
-Kolokithokeftedes (Zucchini Croquettes): wow. Just for for this honestly.
-lemon chicken special: honestly wasn’t my favorite but I also am not a fan of chicken thighs.
-Baklavas: this may be my favorite Baklavas to date…

Conclusion, I would definitely eat here again if I wanted to show someone a cute, low key spot in the city.

Liked this place so much I decided to go back a week later! If you’re looking for a sit down-healthy spot in NYC at an affordable price, this is the spot to be. Their salads are incredible and you feel perfectly satisfied after. Highly recommend going here and then bopping around Chelsea right after.

An awesome course that will leave you needing ice cream after. The course took us 2 hours because a mother and child were very nervous about completing each “challenge”. I’d assume it would normally take 60-90 minutes to complete the adult course.

Tip: make sure you wear shoes with grips! My allbirds were a little slippery for this course.
