Cute little playground for kids all ages.
Right in the middle there are several interconnected wooden climbing structures, all built over sand. There are some sprinklers on the north and a few swings on the east. All the sand is nice, but I prefer the soft material newer playgrounds use. Sand always feels less hygienic. Also, I would like to see soft ground on the outside of the very large sanded area. My kid likes to go barefooted on the sand, but then ends up running barefooted on hard asphalt.
There are no restrooms. There is plenty of shade.
It is a nice playground, nothing to special. I would not travel to get here, but I would be happy if this was my neighbourhood's playground.

Edit: rats galore. Minus a star.
Original four star review:
Very cool playground for older kids (3 and over).
There are several multi level structures to climb, progressively harder, good for kids as young as 2.5 and as old as 12.
The place is in very good shape, probably recently renovated.
There is a nice size sprinkler section, with a 'river' that runs through half the park.
There are no restrooms and no swings.
There are several mature trees providing plenty of shade. There is seating for parents along the perimeter.
Overall one of the best playgrounds in the park.

Absolutely amazing playground.
This place is insane. It has everything you could possibly want. An amazing climbing structure all in wood and ropes. A really tall rock slide that seems to come down from the mountain. A shaded pergola that runs through the middle providing shade. Several swings and sprinklers.
Everything is in great shape too.
The place is great for kids all ages (even for 32 year old kids like me).
The only thing missing is a restroom.
Did I mention the place is beautiful? There are very nice plants all around, and everything is built in wood.
The craziest thing is that there are entire cities that do not have a playground as cool as this one, yet Billy Johnson Playground is not even the best playground in this park.

Update: saw more than a fair share of rats on this playground. Minus 2 stars. Original four star review follows:
Very cool, different playground for kids all ages.
The place is fairly large, but it does not have the typical playground games. It has some swings, a sandbox, a climbing structure and sprinklers, but it also has several seesaws, two 'houses' with walls kids can paint and some other structures.
There are no restrooms here nor nearby.
There is no soft ground, and the place seems due for an upgrade, but it is a very cool option.

Very nice playground, better suited for older kids (4/5+).
The place is divided in several sections, the first one with some really cool sprinklers, the second one with an amazing wooden structure to climb and play and the last two with swings.
The place seems to be recently renovated, with nice soft floor and in pretty good shape overall.
There is no restroom inside the playground, but there are some right outside.
There is some nice tree covering, so there is always some shade.
