Jewish Square
2023 Sep 21
The Jewish Square is rich in history and brought to life if you hire a local guide. Although the area is small, there are many charming cafes, bars, and street food vendors worth visiting. If you're a photographer, you'll find lots of inspiration as you walk the streets. Be sure to show your support of Jewish history and faith by buying a ticket to visit the Synagogue and Cemetery in the main square.
Schiphol is a beautiful airport, it's very clean and well organized. It is huge, and it takes ample time to get between gates. Make sure you allow for a decent length layover. There are so many shops here, including high end brands like Chanel and Gucci. There is a Starbucks upstairs in the main interchange area.
Sushi Yama has a large menu, which works great if you're bringing along someone who has dietary restrictions. If you don't eat fish, if you're a vegetarian, or on a special diet, you'll find something delicious on the menu. The sushi here is fresh, and you can dine at the sushi counter where they prepare in sight. They serve wine, beer, and saki, and have a dessert menu. They offer lunch combo's including a "build your own" bento box. The lunch prices are very reasonable.
