Awesome venue with plenty of space. The sound mix was top-notch. Could hear everything clear from anywhere in the venue. Free water, huge gender neutral bathroom, multiple bars, outdoor space for hanging in between sets, coat check...
I really enjoyed my night there seeing Jesus Piece and Sanguisugabogg and will definitely keep an eye out for future shows. My one gripe is that there was no phone service at all inside, which could pose a risk in case of emergency.

Orchard Hill Cider Mill

Orchard Hill Cider Mill is not only fun to say (it rhymes!), but their hard cider is a major step up from the typical brands you might be familiar with. The flavors are much more sophisticated than just sugary sweet apples and have replaced beer or wine at my dinner table and get togethers many times.
I usually stop in just to grab a bottle or two since I'm not from the area, but I'd love to hang out in their tap room and take in the atmosphere one of these days. Cheers y'all, and thanks for the food drinks!

Bozu

My girlfriend's favorite sushi spot did not disappoint. We really wanted to treat ourselves so we ordered a good amount of food. The pork belly with wasabi cream was so savory and delicate. Thoughtful presentation and the cilantro added some nice peppery flavor to every bite.
We then had the ika yaki - sauteed squid with ginger soy sauge and spicy mayo. She was beside herself with this dish and I have to agree. Really enjoyed the spicy mayo in combination with the ginger soy sauce. It was a touch above mildly spicy but went so well with the chewy squid.
The vegetable gyoza was unlike any I had before. So melt in your mouth. Not chewy or doughy whatsoever. Again, the presentation was awesome. The lighting wasn't ideal, so my picture doesn't do it justice, but I loved the taste.
I'm a big fan of cured mackerel, so I had to try the seared shime saba. I'm not sure the sear elevated the mackerel in any way, but I appreciated the idea. Still really enjoyed this.
The sushi bombs, both bluefin oo toro and spicy una, were delicious.
Not pictured was the miso soup with enoki mushrooms and tofu. Straight forward but enjoyable all the same.
After everything, we only spent around $100. It was the perfect amount of food, though, and I can't wait to go back and try other dishes from Bozu.
