Mex Rent a Car
So I reserved a car here through Priceline. I was aware I had to pay 10k pesos for the car upon arrival. We got to Mexico City to pickup the car and was charged $499 charged onto my credit card. We had the car for 1 week, and also took the car to another state in Mexico to visit. A positive was that we were upgraded to a larger SUV free of charge so they say.
They picked us up promptly and took us to pickup the car at car rental place. They inspected the car and we also took pictures just in case. We had a good experience with the car. However, I was told by the rep at the Front desk that the $198 we paid to Priceline was only to reserve a car for us upon arrival.
And that it’s better to reserve the car upon arrival to the airport. Ummm what?! Also, it took us about 1 hr and 30 minutes to fill out all the paperwork. So for us with a small toddler, that is a major con. Especially after a long day of travel.
