Balanced Rock

This giant rock just sits there looking ready to tip over, but it doesn't! It's part of the Garden of the Gods park. We came on a Saturday in the Summer and it was very crowded. It's hard to get pictures without people in the backgroud if you want the background clear. Still a marvel to behold.
We took a flight from Madrid to DFW Airport. At the time, the line to American Airlines counters were short, so we got through pretty quickly. Finding the security checkpoint was not hard. There are plenty of shops outside and inside of security, but more outside.

Our driver took us to terminal T4 instead of T4s. So, we had to rush to switch terminals. They are not close together. Trams are available, but they are in the basement. Fortunately, there are elevators and escalators, but that would be a difficult journey with little kids. Be sure you know the difference between T4 and T4s and that drivers take you to the correct terminal.
This is a nice monument that remembers Luis Noval Ferrao, who was a soldier in the Spanish army. It's located in the Gardens of Cabo Noval, which appears to be a smaller sub-section of Plaza de Oriente.
Sabatini Garden

This garden sits north of the Read Madrid palace. There's some nice and interesting statues around the garden. You get a good view of the North side of the palace above some greenery.
Duke of Terceira

A very nice statue of the Duke of Terceira, the former Prime Minister of Portugal. There are inscriptions all around the base of the statue, but it's in Portuguese. He overlooks the gardens and waters on the south side.
