Noisy River
2024 Mar 16
Beautiful river located in Manchester. It is an approximately 1 hour and 45 minute drive from Kingston and the road to get there is fairly good. It is very noisy as the name suggests and is located along the roadway. Bear in mind there are no changing or bathroom facilities available. There is also no security or lifeguard so you enjoy the river at your own risk. It is also advisable to bring your own food as there were no food vendors except for a corner shop just up the road. I visited in the morning on a Friday and we were the only ones there. I understand it tends to be busier in the afternoon. I do recommend a visit once the necessary precautions are taken.
FiAMMA Restaurant

I visited FiAMMA for a corporate holiday party and had a great experience. The ambience was amazing and the decor beautiful. The service was top notch as well, and the servers were so courteous. They were gracious enough to give a me a pork less option for one of the platters that were served as I don’t eat pork. The food was very delicious as well, and that cheese cake 🍰 for dessert was heavenly. The Manager was very gracious in adjusting the lighting for me when I was taking some pictures before leaving 😊. I will definitely visit again.

The Three Watchmen

This is a historic statue located near the National Gallery of Canada. My research revealed that this is a Haida Indigenous sculpture. They face outwards in three directions and watch for danger coming from supernatural and everyday worlds. This statue was constructed by Jim Hart, hereditary chief of the Haida nation, which spans the West Coast from Canada to Alaska. A very interesting structure worth a stop while sight seeing.
Peace Tower

Grand clock and bell tower located on Parliament Hill. It is definitely worth seeing on a visit to Parliament Hill. There is a Sound and Light Show 5 nights per week whichis a colourful audiovisual presentation centred around Canada's history. The visuals are projected on the peace tower.
