Would highly recommend this lovely restaurant. A good choice of food. Well priced for Swiss standards. Friendly service with a lovely ambiance in the evening. I would however recommend you book beforehand if it is in the ski season, we managed to squeeze a table for two , they staff were so obliging but had we been a bigger group of people it might have been harder. This will definitely be our go to restaurant when we are in Engelberg. But next time I will book ahead of our trip.

Can highly recommend Lake Side from having amazing views of mountains and Lake Zurich. The cappuccino and cake we had was really good, the cake was fresh and full of flavour. The entire setting and atmosphere of the restaurant was well worth the visit. The prices - they are your Zurich prices , to be expected - higher in the tourist areas. Staff are friendly however I have taken off a star as I had to ask 3 different waiters / waitresses to pay. Had the entire restaurant been full I would have understood that I had to wait, however this was not the case. Possibly only certain staff can take payment , that I do not know. However it is frustrating if you are relying on public transport and need to run yet have to wait 20 minutes to pay for coffee and cake. Saying that one has to weigh up whether this totally spoilt the visit or not, it would not be fair to say it did. It was just annoying and did not spoil the delicious cake and coffee nor did it affect the amazing views we experienced. It was also a great ‘pit stop’ which we used for our walk from Zurich Birkliplatz to Küsnach. Can highly recommend this walk on a gorgeous sunny day. The view of the mountains and the lake are spectacular and you are never far from public transport should you tire. There are ‘boat’ stations and train stations dotted along the way, easily found using google maps.

This restaurant has a view that takes you to another world. Gorgeous view of the lake and the iconic Swiss mountains. Honestly well worth the visit. Staff are friendly. We only had a coffee in their ‘lounge seating area’ , nice cappuccino but I will be honest you pay a high price for a coffee with a view.

Absolutely amazing. I have honestly never had such tender beef stroganoff anywhere. The staff were friendly and super attentive. Honestly well worth the visit. We had a set menu due to pre-arrangements made by our host, so I cannot comment on the full menu , but going by the dish I had (beef stroganoff) they will definitely be seeing me again so I can explore and experience the rest of their menu. Just a fabulous homely restaurant, I can highly recommend them , ‘first impressions last ‘ is definitely something this beautiful restaurant lives by. Thank you for amazing service, good and atmosphere. They also can speak English , so any English speaking tourist will be warmly welcomed.
