Look pretty nice on the road but they close the gates a bit early. We got there at 3:50 and the gates were closed, but it said they were open until 4:30 PM

Also, the sign from the interstate doesn’t tell you how far it is (15 miles)

I would go to it again if I were in the area to get the full experience.

I have not been to this park since the early 90s. It was really nice to walk around. A little dated but definitely some really good memories of drum circles in Congo Square not many folks since it was a weekday but we did see a few summer campers getting some New Orleans history lessons. Definitely worth visiting for the history and the art work/sculptures.

A beautiful walk along the Mississippi and some beautiful artwork and sculptures. If you’re looking for a great spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an afternoon brew, this is a peaceful place to watch the action on the river.

What a great spot to hang out with friends or make some new ones. We went for the live music, my cousin and his band were playing. A chill, relaxing vibe… and there’s a food truck built into the back of the bar.

If you’re in Austin near 6th St, definitely pop in, you won’t be disappointed.
