Great place for a Kids party. My granddaughter along with 20 friends had an active fun 11/2 hour gathering.
First they worked on their figurines which when finished the staff helps spruce up if needed. Then into the party room for games, dancing, cake and drinks. All well organized, supervised, fast paced and fun for the kids. As kids leave each received their figurine.

Cordwood Park is very small with a terrific view of the Nissequogue River. There are a few benches and two picnic tables.
There are no facilities.
It is a pleasant spot to sit for a bit watching life on the river.
The four stars are for the view.

When you look at Cow Harbor Park you need to look at the whole.
The Park located on the bay is a bucolic spot to spend time resting and taking the day in, walking your dog, taking the kids or grandkids to the playground or attending concerts in the evening. A truly delightful spot.
A Town Dock is also available for boaters.
The bonus is up Main Street from the Park are wonderful eateries and shops to fit all tastes and pocketbooks.
One of the favs is the Copenhagen Bakery for a quick bite during the day or great take home bread and baked goods.
My wife and I frequent one of the many restaurants weekly for lunch or dinner. Cozy welcoming places with nice offerings and pleasant service.
Overall the Village and Park is delightful.

We parked in the Dock area but went to Mirabelle Restaurant & Tavern located across the street for lunch. Very good French style cuisine along with some American favorites.
After lunch we took a walk along the Dock and the Beach adjacent to the Dock. This time of the year the island across the channel is active with breeding Seagulls. There is a Marina available and boat ramp.
West of Mirabelle's there are a series of quaint shops, eateries and an art gallery. Just a walk down the road is a pond usually with a plethora of ducks and geese.
Overall a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
Fishing from the Dock is best during a half hour either side of high water and slack water. The tide runs hard at other times. The beach area has less tidal force and can be fished best on incoming water.

This may fall into the category of a Strip Mall however this is Much more . It is meticulously maintained with a terrific section of stores and services. A comfortable place to shop with all the content and services you need.
