Khandani Rajdhani

Rajdhani restaurant, a well known restaurant chain from India does not need much of an introduction. It has created place in the people's hearts and their stomach through their delicious vegetarian and homely food which is a perfect blend of north western region of India. The place is quiet spacious, bringhtly lit with comfortable seating. Ambiance is very family friendly and little noisy as this place is always crowded so you can expect a waiting time for you to be seated.
This review is bit late as I went there while they were having mango festival. While waiting for couple of minutes, we were seated and then started our gastronomic journey. The thali is huge with wide variety of items. To start off with we were served condiments like papads, chutneys, pickles and salad along with a glass of Chaas. Then they served dal baati with a generous topping of ghee onto it. For starters they had dhokla and Kachori which was delicious and I had an extra serving of it too. The main course consisted of four different types of vegetables like paneer, black chickpeas, mixed vegetables etc, two types of dal and kadi. These was accompanied with three types of breads, plain rice and khichdi. Desserts consisted of yummy Aamras, jalebi rabdi and moong dal halwa. Each and every dish was flavorful and delicious and very easy on palate. But for me the desserts were definitely the star of the whole dining experience. The serving staff is quiet efficient and friendly and will keep on serving and refilling your plates till you are too stuffed and can take no more.
Overall, I certainly recommend you to go ahead and savour the taste of this amazing thaali at Rajdhani.
P.S. make sure to skip a meal before dining here...

Flavours of India

Reveisted this place for a Diwali dinner menu and loved the ambiance, food and hospitality. Definitely recommends it...
Flavours of India is a lovely restaurant located at Ramada Hotel in JBR that serves modern and traditional Indian food in a beautiful ambiance. I was fortunate to be invited to review their specially curated Holi themed dinner. The whole place was done up with bright and vibrant hues, dazzling colourful gulal scattered on the table that made the whole place very festive, cheerful and vibrant. A mix of veg and non veg delicacies comprises in their special Holi menu.
I tasted jaljeera which was delicious to the core. A perfect sweet and tangy concoction that would leave you wanting for more. They Also have different flavoured lassi onto their menu. Then we had samosa, dhokla, papdi chaat, aloo tikki, Dahi Bhalla chaat, ajwaini paneer Tikka, hara bhara kebab, chilli paneer and chilli mushroom, two types of salads etc for starters. Each dish was made to perfection, served fresh and thoroughly relished.
For mains, we were served sarson ka saag, dal Makhani, Pindi chole, Kadai paneer along with varied Indian breads. And let me tell you apart from this menu they would serve non veg items too in the Holi menu. Food was good a slight misses but overall great food, warm and friendly staff and lovely colourful festive and joyous atmosphere. For desserts they have served specially laid trays of Indian sweets like kaju Kathi, jalebi, sesame chiki, peanut jaggery balls, rasmalai etc and much more.
The Holi menu is priced at AED 139 per person and is available on 18th and 19 of March. You can avail an early bird offer and precook for just AED 89 per person... kids from 6-12 dine at 50% discount while 0-5 dine for free. So pre book your table, let chefs treat you with their master creations while you sit back and enjoy the festival of colours with your loved ones. Definitely recommended!!!!

bunz

Got a yummy food delivery from Bunz, a slider joint and I was blown away with its taste and I am certainly hooked onto it for my burger cravings from now on. On time delivery, follow up call and great packaging too. I tried their vegan beyond truffle sliders and it was the yummiest slider I tasted in the long time. A great alternative to meat patty, cheddar cheese, sautéed mushrooms and loads of deliciousness. By the side we had cheesy fries, super addictive and a perfect side with the vegan sliders. And last but not the least, the Nutella bombs, fluffy doughnut filled with Nutella... do I need to say anything about this, well just sinfully delectable and heavenly... Great flavours and a perfect treat to your tastebuds any time of the day... Most definitely recommended....
Kids Zone Souk Al Bahar

Being a mum of a toddler, I am always on a lookout of some great fun play areas to keep those lil monsters entertained. And with the summer break coming up, it's a task to find such entertaining hygienic places to take our kids to.
Recently, I came across @kidszonedubai @soukalbahardubai that have lots of toys, games, role play toys, blocks, cars etc to keep toddlers busy for hours. Apart from the toys, they have a dedicated art and craft section too which enables them to showcase their creativity. They have reading library where mums or the staff their can read books to ur lil one's. If that is not enough, they have a small play area too which has slide, trampoline, obstacle path etc. So a complete package as per your child's interests.
You can join your lil one with all the fun and create memories or else you can drop your child with them and one of the dedicated n friendly staff will look after the child for couple of hours while you can shop or dine at adjoining @soukalbahardubai or @thedubaimall
Do visit them and share your experience with me and I am sure your kids will have as much fun as my kiddo had @kidszonedubai

Chai Sutta Cafe
2021 Feb 03
Chai Sutta is a perfect neighborhood spot to gather around for some chit chat with your friends or family over a kulhad of hot chai and some yummy quick bites. It has a great outdoor space which is perfect for the ongoing weather. The indoor space is dim lit with bar stools type seating, one wall at the back has adorned wonderful quotes on chai. I am sure any chai lover like me would pause and read it and definitely relate to it.
A precise menu of pizza, sandwiches, Maggi, burgers, shakes and offcourse varied varieties of chai. We tried their Adrak wali chai which is supremely divine, apt flavours, mildly sweetened and was soulfully satisfying. It's gonna be regular for me when around the area. But again 3dhs for a small kulhad was disheartening though. Phew.. but the chai was really good. Pair it with their bun maska and that becomes a perfect match made in heaven. Simple treat that can be relished any time of the day.
We also had paneer takatak sandwich, a lovely tangy paneer cubes encapsulated in grilled bread and went well with green chutney alongside. Loved it. We had their CSS pizza, which was thick crust, loaded with cheese and veggies which was decent in taste. Loaded fries was regular fries topped with cheese, nothing fancy and lacked the wow factor. Tandoori Maggi has oodles of masala to it, spicy one to my tastebuds but tasted okay.
Service was friendly but could be more better. Overall an hangout place and can certainly be tried if around that area for some desi street style food n kulhad chai with an apt tag line 'cuddle in a kulhad'. Certainly Recommended!!!!
