Frecky Lewis

A goofy little "coaster" that is not super fast, but it does has some quick swoops and turns that are fun. It also makes a good family ride.

Appropriately located just in front of the Planetarium in Forest Park, this tall sculpture depicts a figure gazing up into the sky. Neat that it is made from recycled aluminum. I almost get a sore neck just looking at it, though!

A very picturesque pond of water lillies just outside the famed Jewel Box in Forest Park.

This is a cool sculpture of a sundial by Henry Moore that is surprisingly pretty accurate! It sits right on the lakefront near the Adler Planetarium, and the views of the lake and surrounding region when you are standing next to it are really nice. There are some plaques adjacent to the sculpture that explain the sundial's history and how it works.

Located in the South McCormick Court of the Art Institute of Chicago, this fountain makes a great place to relax and escape the city for a short period. The fountain was created by sculptor Lorado Taft and installed in 1913. It depicts five women arranged so that the water flows through them in the shape of the five Great Lakes.
