We had a wonderful evening at Snug Harbor to celebrate our anniversary! We loved the intimacy of the music hall, feeling up close and personal with the band made it so cool! The food was good as well. Snug Harbor was an excellent choice for making memories. Thank you!
Oak Alley Plantation

Absolutely wonderful experience!! The oaks were gorgeous and the grounds were very well-maintained. Jackie did our big house tour and did a great job. She was very knowledgeable about the family and house. Overall, I highly, highly recommend visiting Oak Alley Plantation if you’re in the New Orleans area.
Green Chile Kitchen

We’ve been here many times over the years and I’ve never ordered something I didn’t like! They also have great flavor options for margaritas and cocktails as well as delicious pies.
This is NOT Tex-mex food. It’s New Mexican cuisine which is different in style and flavoring to Tex-mex.

Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center

The Gaylord Texan is definitely a sight to behold. There is great attention to detail at every turn and we enjoyed many walks in the Atrium and around the grounds because we saw something new each time.
The standard rooms are what you'd find at any mid-range hotel, which was the only let-down for the price, but they're well-maintained. The amenities are what make this resort worth the stay. There's both an indoor and outdoor pool plus Paradise Springs which is free for overnight guests and has a shuttle bus that runs back and forth every few minutes. There are scavenger hunts for the kids, animal encounters and a nightly light show, as well as activities you can pay extra for like Escape Rooms and crafts.
We saved money by bringing our own food in, which no one seemed to mind, so we didn't eat at any of the restaurants or order room service, but we saw quite a few options available as we roamed around. We did try out the Sprinkles cupcake vending machine, though, which was fun and got some coffee at the Starbucks.
Another good thing to point out is the wheelchair accessibility. Our daughter is disabled but had no trouble getting around everywhere we wanted to go and the shuttle bus to Paradise Springs even had a ramp and could accommodate her wheelchair easily.
Overall, this was a great experience and we look forward to returning again soon!

New Mexico Museum of Art on the Plaza

Small museum right off the plaza. The building itself is beautiful and I love the inner courtyard. Some of the exhibits were closed for set-up when we went, so that was disappointing, but overall I recommend a quick stop here. $12 per person
