This place is awesome, a perfect nerdy nest for anyone interested in Japanese pop culture and other similar fun things. As soon as I saw the exterior, my mood immediately lifted. My friend recommended it to me when I was having a tough day and ended up buying some holiday gifts and cute little things like stickers here. They have a lot to choose from, variety of prices (you can either come out barely spending anything to getting some expensive high quality merchandise) and the setup of the store is just very lovely to look at. The store owner was really nice and inclusive, you can tell they are passionate about what they do. I want to come back and bring everyone I know with similar interests.

Originally I was looking for a tea house where I could order a nice drink to-go while running some errands on a someday, but I ended up here and the place was so nice that I ended up staying for over an hour, procrastinating my chores. But I have no regrets about it, sitting alone at Fly Awake Tea House with a calming cup of chocolatey tea and some samosas was a great way to start my day and slow down, which is something a lot of us forget to do. The atmosphere of this place is absolutely lovely and inclusive, and the employees here seem to know a lot about the menu while providing great service. It's somewhere I'd love to stop by again due to having such a nice experience. I would definitely recommend this place.

My partner and I walked into this place not knowing it was a 21+ establishment, and we were sent away at first due to me having left my ID at home (and looking unfortunately rather young). However, we came back after I retrieved my license and received top-notch service upon returning. We got some satisfying root beer floats with Tillamook ice cream while waiting for our main meals. My boyfriend ordered the "Shorty" burger which actually wasn't all that small, and he said it was pretty tasty. I got a pasta dish that tasted nice and savory yet light with its buttery wine sauce, though it was a bit too strong on the garlic. I'd definitely say the food was good quality. The atmosphere of the restaurant seemed to cater more to the elderly crowd, but it was nice and clean, also comfortable and cozy, with nice autumnal decoration for the season. There were a few different televisions playing different shows with captions on, from Impractical Jokers to sports to The Simpsons. Overall we had a good experience.

Ate here with a coworker for lunch once, and maybe the restaurant was having a bad day. I feel bad saying this since they were pretty nice, but the quality of the food here really didn't satisfy me. I didn't find the fried rice or pad thai to be particularly tasty. I also found it to be way too expensive for what you get. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was really good, though. Maybe it just didn't appeal to my tastes, I didn't think it was very authentic.

There are a lot of Mio Sushi restaurants in the Portland metropolitan area, yet all of them are pretty consistent in quality. This particular post has quick and friendly service. Its interior is quaint, but clean. I would highly recommend grabbing some tempura here for lunch if you are into fried vegetables.
