Shawarma Habibi
2023 Aug 14
This was the only food place that wasn’t packed late at night, so I decided to eat here. It wasn’t very appealing, looked like a 60s cafeteria. Ordered a beef shawarma plate, it was okay, I felt that it didn’t have any flavor, especially for the price you pay for a plate.
Poster House

This is such a fantastic new museum to NYC, showcasing various exhibitions on posters used for a variety of reasons. The current exhibition is on Russian film posters (kinda ironic given the news lately). The space is very welcoming and open when you check in (just wish there was a more cohesive and smooth check in area, as there was a long line of folxs waiting to check in. The gift shop is the first thing when you walk in. It would be easier to have the check in area first thing when you walk in). The space itself is SUPER small, you’ll most likely be in and out in about 45 mins to an hour tops. I’ll definitely be back again (hopefully the museum expands to the upper floors to showcase even more exhibitions, and maybe a collab with local museums on posters related to NYC history?)
William Rockefeller Mausoleum

Gravesite of one of the most richest families in America: the Rockefeller’s. Much grander than the humble grave of their next neighbor, Andrew Carnegie. The Rockefeller’s spared no expenses on their family plot and mausoleum. Located at the highest point of the cemetery, overlooking the site. The Greek architecture is stunningly detailed.
Walter Chrysler Mausoleum

Located at the very back of the cemetery, it can be easy to miss it.
