Karnaphuli shishu Park used to be a prime tourist spot for chittagong. Now after long years of entertaining people this park seems to be need of break. It needs a full scale remodeling and renovation. The place looks rusty. Like a shooting spot for a horror movie. Since it remains nearly empty most of the time. Couples come here for dating. And do all the dirty works in the name of dating. The authority used to be more strict about these matters. Now the couples seems to be their main earning source. The staffs behaviour is much better now. But the ticket price haven't come down. It increased in fact. I would suggest not to come here weekdays with family. But weekends and holidays seems to be all right. As there are more people.

The bank protecting dam on the bank of the river karnaphully has become a tourist spot. There are several seating arrangement on the embankment. Some food shops. Become very congested on holidays. As the seating arrangement is not enough. You can also enjoy boat ride along the river from here. There are several ghats and fresh vegetable markets around this place. Those who are interested in buying fresh vegetables can shop from those markets. If you come with friends it will be more enjoyable.
