Fantastic udon shop for very competitive prices! I've been to their Sout Coast Plaza location a few times and every time I left full and satisfied. The noodles are thick with the right amount of chew and with all of the toppings you could wish or hope for. The service is also top notch, the girl handling the noodles and serving them and the guy in the cash register were both friendly, welcoming, efficient and helpful. The whole shop also has a great ambiance and you can easily find a spot to sit and enjoy your meal (impressive, especially considering how busy this mall gets).

Great shopping center with a super nice layout! The only difficult part is parking but the rest is a cakewalk. Remember to take your parking ticket so that you can validate at the food court or anywhere else that you go shopping. Totally worth a visit, especially on days when traffic is slower, like Sunday afternoons!

I lived 5 minutes away from their Costa Mesa location for 3 years, and I also had the chance to visit a few other locations. This location is just as well kept as any other one. Their standard for pulchritude, order and cleanliness are evident. A few things have a bit of a markup (I attached a pic of one of those items) but if you mostly come here for food, you can't go wrong. Their sushi section alone is definitely worth a trip here: always fresh and with lots of variety. Only thing missing is someone saying 「いらっしゃいませ！」as you walk through the doors but everything else about this place rocks!

P.S.: Their "proudly" made in Japan sign made me chuckle. Were they being sarcastic at their own quality control or do they take true pride in it and were using the quotations for extra emphasis? We shall never know!

Evaluating a restaurant based on one of their least expensive items is an interesting approach: if they can do one of the least important items well, what else to expect but excellence for the rest of their menu? This is something I tried doing at this restaurant (mostly because of the convenience; it was the one item that I would not have had to wait for 20 minutes to get for takeout), and I was proven right: I tried the Minced Pork Belly Bowl and let me tell you: that pork, although lacking in quantity, was more than enough in quality and flavor. It permeated the whole bowl and was an excellent choice. I just wish they would have put a bit more, but for the price, it was truly an amazing deal. Highly recommended place for authentic Taiwanese food! 👌

Whoever coined the rather disrespectful term "hole in the wall" failed to account for rather delicious food being cooked in less than stellar establishments. This is one of those places. A small restaurant with lots of charm and appeal. The decor was nice, the service was great and the food was the best Thai food I've eaten in a while. Highly recommended! Also, their Thai Tea is, unlike in most other places, actually good.
