The Dirty Shame

Solely based on this establishment being a cheaper drink option than 7th+Grove across the street. Bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, & even willing to give me a taste of the different draft beer. Cost was $6 for a 16 oz draft, perfect for Ybor City.
Went to restaurant, during open hours, & door was locked. I called, they answered, unlocked the door (a few fruit flies flew out immediately) & let me in. They were waiting on an extra staff member to cook food, so I had to wait a little bit. Ordered the combo for 1 ($16). Nice size portion, cheap price. Lentils were the only item that wasn't bland. I've never tasted Ethiopian that wasn't seasoned well. Injera was stale, not soft and fluffy. The honey wine ($9) was sweet, so no complaints. Restaurant had a few locals, there all the time. Homeless guy entered & he was immediately asked to leave after about 1 min of arguing. I got the check, saw an unfamiliar charge ($5.5). Waitress said they charged for the tip automatically. With the tax, I got a $33 bill when I thought it would be $23 (pre-tip). Would've definitely went back to the Ethiopian restaurant (Chercher was 0.5 miles away) I visited a day ago if I knew all this.
Medium sized park in Gwinnett County, but it has a variety of items to keep you busy. Traversing the 'boardwalk', on the north end, leads you to the wildlife center. I haven't been in there, but it's fascinating they have it at this park. People fish here, there is a nice sized playground, you will see aquatic fowl. Overall, It is a good place to clear your head on a nice long walk. It is also home to a couple of soccer/football (or futbol 😉) fields. You cannot go wrong in nature. Enjoy!
Vines Park

Always clean, scenic, quiet, & low-key. I am hesitant about singing the praises of this little local gem of a park. I have frequently seen people there for prom pics, wedding pics, even a wedding, but I have never seen the park overcrowded. I go there to read or seek peace in my life. There is a mini-maze for kids, pets are welcome since they have a small dog station (baggies), public restrooms, and a community garden. Also, there is a resident Great Blue Heron always wading in the water.
Dive bar. Enough said: great prices, combos w/ alcohol (Who. Freaking. Knew???) witty bartender who knows her stuff. Pool tables.
