The Shiny Diner
When the menu says that the milk shakes are large, they are.
I don't know how many times I have had a milkshake, where you could see them spinning it, and they fill your cup and you can tell there is still a good 1/3 of a stainless cup full that they wash down the sink because it won't fit in your To Go cup. At the Shiny Diner, they bring you the stainless cup that your milkshake was spun in & let you have the rest, which in my case was still more than half full. I was able to drink down the presentation cup 2 times and refill from the spinning cup.

The Doggie Dog (regular) was a regular sized grill seared split dog with bacon and cheese. Tasted fine and was satisfying, though the appearance was a little underwhelming. I will admit that it is all that I wanted, or needed, with the amount of shake and chips. I thought the chips were pretty unique and delicious. They are fresh, thin, spiral-sliced potatoes, fried to a nice chip consistency. It was interesting how some of the chip textures were slightly different, some having more crisp than others. Though I could see complaints about inconsistent cooking, I actually thought it made it better having the variety. Gave a taste/texture as a cross between chip & fry.

Main Street Buffet
Food was fine. Everything was cooked well and served with attention. The location is obviously a local favorite, which is heartening to see. The meat selections were prepared to perfection. The roast beef, fried chicken, and fried fish were each well seasoned, fully cooked without being overcooked, and a nice treat. The side items were mostly pretty standard for a buffet. The rice pudding was a bit drier than I like and didn't have much for raisins or other additions, though the rice was of a decent texture and flavor was good. Small dining space can get quite loud with all of the open conversations.
Suzaku Cafe
Choices, choices, choices. Lots of variety and the quality is excellent. Everyone should be able to find something to suite their tastes. Vegan options, gluten free options, and fully customizable menu. The portions are generous with well prepared and fast service. Plenty of drink options from fountain drinks, bottle drinks, smoothies, and bubble teas. Poke bowl/wrap options, soups, hibachi dinners, traditional take-out, sushi, extra sides and appetizers.

Hibachi chicken - tender and succulent with an appropriate amount of sauce, onion and zucchini was properly just slightly firm. Hibachi vegetable - had the onion and zucchini, but also mushrooms, carrots, and broccoli. Also cooked with a delicious sauce and tender with slight crisp. The yum yum sauce was provided at the table and not an overly sweet version. Complemented the rice perfectly.

Burgruine Hopfen Am See
Beautiful castle ruins with exceptional view over Hopfen Lake. It is a fair hike and can be a little slick in wet weather. Can be accessed by the path starting in the middle of Hopfen at the top of Burgweg, or the longer route on a macadam road just past Kostenpflichtig Parking area.
Very worth the visit. You can tell they are working on improving the site for safety and access.

Kebab Skewer
The plates were full. The bread was fresh made. The food was filling and delicious.
This is a small, unassuming restaurant and looks like a take-out (which they did do quite a lot of). Despite the appearance, the food was exceptional with marvelous flavoring and substantial portions. It is a great option for trying some Mediterranean food with a lot of variety and options. This is definitely worth a second visit to try more dishes.
