I attended a special event at the Mansion with Geoffrey Baer for WTTW. The place is very cool. Some of the rooms have been restored to their original furnishings and some are bare. The library, chapel, and hidden staircase are highlights of the mansion. The weather was not good for outdoor activities on the day of my visit, but the grounds are nice and would make a great place for a walk on a nice day.

I enjoyed a matinee of Young Frankenstein at the Mercury Theater. It's a pretty intimate theater, a great venue to see a show. Nice facilities and friendly staff. The show was awesome.

Did the Santa Cruise with family and had a very nice time. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Everything was well organized. Fun to get out on the lake and see the lights. It's a great activity for all ages.

The Tinker Swiss Cottage is an amazing Victorian home and museum. The library in particular is extraordinary. The history and preservation are great, but they also do a lot of paranormal events. Even for skeptics, the stories are fascinating.
