Fabulous meal tonight, was a fairly last minute booking but I think we agreed that it was one of the best meals of the week for us, the food was piping hot, and very tasty, we didn’t feel rushed and the quality was excellent, as was the service received too, we would definitely return if back in Edinburgh

Happened upon this lovely restaurant in Grassmarket, Edinburgh, and we were lucky enough to get s table, I had French onion soup, husband had black pudding, then I chose the sea bass and husband had chicken supreme with blue cheese sauce. Great atmosphere, fabulous find, quirky building

So very worth the effort to climb up the steps to the top for excellent views to the coast and Arthur’s seat and the skyline of Edinburgh City itself, fabulous things to view on the top of the hill too, Nelson’s monument, national monument of Scotland, 15th century canon. Dugald Stewart monument, city observatory building (closed on a Monday)
