Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin
Think twice before booking this hotel! WARNING: not 5-star service
My wife and I were very excited to stay at the famous Adlon hotel! Having stayed at Kempinski brands globally, we expected top notch service.
We were greatly disappointed, for the following reasons:
-hotel staff checked us out 2 days early “by accident” which led to us being chased out of the hotel by bar staff accusing us of not paying (HUMILIATING!) not to mention the room keys stopped working
-hotel lost a portion of our laundry
-no air conditioning in the room, was at least 80 degrees. Staff sent a electrician which only made it worse
-mediocre breakfast
-they don’t refill the minibars
Overall, if you’re looking for 5 star service and a luxury hotel, do NOT stay here.
Instead of offering us an upgrade or a refund, they sent chocolates to the room and told us they’d take care of us if we book again for the future.
