Fantastic boardwalk
We stopped here on our way from Acadia National Park to Presque Isle airport on a whim - but found the forest to be a surprise hit!
It sparked my interest owing to its welsh name (Bangor, of course, being first and foremost a place in Wales) and mention of a boardwalk.
It’s a brief dirt track to the boardwalk and you then get to walk through two unique environments - all without wetting your feet!
In the first, the boardwalk may float depending on the water level - providing the opportunity to bounce up and down and make waves in the marsh. Such fun!
In the second, you walk into a mini forest that gives you the feeling of being a bird flying over a much larger forest.
My walking companion quipped it also looked like something straight out of Walking with Dinosaurs.
My only qualm was that the boardwalk wasn’t quite long enough 😞

Bra-topia!
Ladies of the East Village, have you lost a bra recently?
If so, then chances are that you need look no further than this bar!
The walls of this establishment are festooned in bras, lost and found, of every shape, size and color imaginable.
Perplexed as to the theme the owners were going for, I asked an American friend for help.
‘Oh, I don’t know, this bar is giving me Southern,’ she said, ‘like… ALABAMA!’
It appears, therefore, that ladies from the South must be very good at losing their bras.
Or, at the least, taking them off in bars.
I wonder what the old men of Jerusalem who got together to write a book some 2,000 years ago would have to say about that.

A delight
I say, has anyone else indulged in a Jameson Orange Mule at this establishment?
It is simply delightful.
I wander here regularly following an LGBT sports practice nearby.
Over time it has become, to put it bluntly, our team watering hole - often outcompeting Rise! (Audible gasp from gays under the age of 25)
A well-kept bar with friendly and efficient staff.
A good spot for a date, a good spot for a group meet up and a good spot for casting furtive glances around the room hoping to strike gold (Although, I’d you’re like me, your future husband is probably currently mincing around the Hamptons than in New York City).
A must for your night out in Hell’s Kitchen list!

The Greek Kitchen

Best Greek in New York!
This is my favorite Greek restaurant in New York City, hands down!
For those unfortunate enough to have stumbled into Eleni’s or Taverna Kyclades in the East Village, then a visit here should be medically prescribed in order to restore their love of all things Greek.
Everything on the menu is delicious - although the pork Souvlaki platter is my favorite - the food is well-priced and staff are excellent.
You will also note the presence of more seasoned New Yorkers at this restaurant, a sure sign that this is a place to be!
To The Greek Kitchen, please, never change!
NB: So far, they have also managed to keep out the soy-latte waving, AirPod wearing, Lulu Lemon or bust contingent. Bliss!

Decorum is dead
The staff at this establishment would do well to study how to greet someone.
In Britain, we do it via a handshake, in France, via giving someone a half-eaten garlic bread, and in Austin, via pretending not to hear the constant buzz of their Grindr notifications.
The best way to greet a customer is NOT to throw a napkin at them.
Never in my life have I experienced such vulgar and unacceptable behavior.
One star.
And if I could give them minus five, I would!
I can only think that this staff member’s brain has now been completely addled by a constant stream of TikTok and Fox News notifications.
Or, perhaps, they have never bothered to sit down and read a book.
Staff at this establishment would do well to learn that if one is engaged in conversation at the bar and not looking at them then they would not, shockingly, like a cocktail.
And they will never EVER tip them!
A complete retrain of all employees at this establishment would be in the national interest.
