Small free aquarium with a variety of small to medium fish and sea creatures. Great value given that it's free, though donations are encouraged. The fish and such are fun to look out but don't expect an in depth scientific explanation of their behaviors. It's right by a nice beach and park as well!
Amazing place to visit! We did the self guided multimedia tour on a weekend and spent nearly 2 hours here. We got a great overview of the history of the palace and the UK governmental system. The architecture inside is just stunning.

Be advised photography is only allowed in certain areas; sadly the actual parliamentary chambers are some of the rooms where no photography is permitted. Also you get to see more rooms and actually stand in the chambers amongst the benches if you come on a Saturday when Parliament is not in session, though naturally you won't see the lawmakers at work.

This is an awesome little spot with delicious, very authentic Turkish fare. Everything we tried was great! They have lots of appetizers to choose from, and in terms of the mains you have to at least try the Manti (dumplings in savory yogurt). Service was great too.

Indoor seating area is small but charming. There are two heated sidewalk patios available as well.

Aging but fun music venue on the eastern edge of downtown LA. The first floor is an open dance floor, and I loved that it was sloped down to the stage - we had a totally clear view. The top floor has tables and seats. Acoustics were decent. Drinks were overpriced as always at $17. Street parking or private lots only which can be challenging, so consider rideshare, scooter, or Metro Bike.

Disclaimer: we came pretty late in the evening, about an hour before close on a Thursday night. But this place was pretty dead, with only 1 or 2 other groups here along with us, yet our drinks took FOREVER - probably about 30 minutes. Once they came they were pretty good though. The patio is sort of small but serviceable, and the inside has more of a trendy feel.

The entrance is, as you would imagine, down an alley to the right of the restaurants in front. Street parking only (avoid the neighborhood as it's all permit parking).
