I recently had the pleasure of visiting this exquisite garden, a sanctuary that offers a year-round retreat into nature's beauty. The current highlight was an awe-inspiring Ikebana show, which effortlessly blended artistic expression and natural elements into an unforgettable experience.

Moreover, the gift shop served as an additional source of inspiration, featuring a diverse array of thoughtfully curated items that echo the garden's ethos. The sprawling grounds are expansive, making it an ideal location for family outings.

In anticipation of future visits, I am particularly excited about the upcoming night light show, which promises to be a spectacle that further elevates the natural beauty of the garden. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend this garden for anyone looking to immerse themselves in an enriching and tranquil environment.

In the vast sea of culinary establishments, The Greek Corner Restaurant emerges as a beacon of authentic Greek flavors, transporting diners to the sun-kissed landscapes of Greece with every bite. Having recently returned from a Grecian adventure, my taste buds were yearning for the hearty and robust flavors I had grown fond of. My visit to The Greek Corner did more than just satiate this yearning—it was a delightful voyage through a unique culinary tradition.

The stars of my meal were undoubtedly the moussaka and gyro. The moussaka was a layered paradise of scrumptious flavors, crowned with a bechamel sauce that was nothing short of a creamy dream. Its delightful milkiness paired with the robustness of the meat, eggplant, and potatoes created a harmonious dance of flavors that beckoned forkful after forkful.

On the other hand, the gyro was a masterful display of Greek culinary expertise. Wrapped in a soft, warm pita, the meat was tender and seasoned to perfection, evoking memories of bustling Athens eateries. The homemade tzatziki sauce was the proverbial cherry on top—cool, creamy, and packed with a zesty tang that brightened the hearty flavors of the gyro.

However, every rose has its thorns, and for me, it was the Greek fries. My personal preference leans towards a crispy, crunchy texture, but these fries seemed to steer towards a softer semblance, possibly a characteristic of the potato variety used. Despite this minor hiccup, my culinary journey remained largely undeterred.

One can't help but appreciate the friendly and knowledgeable service provided at The Greek Corner. The servers were more than just order takers—they were guides through the Greek culinary landscape, enhancing the dining experience manifold.

I eagerly look forward to my next visit to The Greek Corner Restaurant, for there’s still a myriad of flavors waiting to be explored. The authenticity and warmth encapsulated in this quaint eatery promise many more delightful gastronomic adventures.

The gyro may not have been prepared in the traditional vertical rotisserie style, but the meat was flavorful and satisfying. The tzatziki sauce added a perfect touch of tanginess. The skewered meat was tender and delicious. Overall, while not the most authentic Greek experience, the food was of good quality and quite enjoyable.
A visit to Korean Home Taste on Allston's renowned Korean Street revealed a culinary experience that is a delight for any Korean food aficionado.

-0 waiting time
-great for lunch
-served quick
-try Japchae if you are noodle lover

Notably, one can find a seamless dining experience here, exemplified by a zero waiting time, especially commendable during the busy lunch hour.

However, a couple of dishes left room for improvement. The Japchae, a stir-fried noodle dish traditionally seasoned with a sweet and savory sauce, was unfortunately a tad on the soggy side. The texture of the noodles was missing that delectable al dente quality that truly makes this dish shine.

The marinated Kalbi, a quintessential Korean dish, also could have used a minor tweak. A reduction in sweetness and a punchier garlic taste would have greatly enhanced the flavor profile. Incorporation of fruits like pears, customary in authentic Kalbi marinades for natural sweetness and tenderness, could have added a layer of complexity to the taste.

Despite these minor shortcomings, the overall experience was highly satisfactory. The authentic ambience, combined with the heartwarming service and generally good food, makes Korean Home Taste a worthy stop for Korean cuisine in Allston. Rest assured, I'm eagerly looking forward to another visit to this cozy spot, hoping that they consider these suggestions for an even more rewarding culinary experience.
