Ruhr University's precious Unicenter. It's a pleasant shopping center with plenty of shops, also open to public. The REWE here is open until midnight during weekdays, unlike rest of the grocery shops in Bochum. There's a nice Asian market, a relatively cheaper supermarket (Netto), bakeries, simple restaurants, a Rossmann, the job center, a kiosk, two copy centers, and a Sparkasse. Basically pretty much everything students and also the people in the neighbourhood might need. I didn't need to go to the city for many of my needs. A gym and Tedi shop would be cool, though.
