Main shopping center in Japantown. The center has two sides east and west. We came after the pandemic hit and we saw the aftermath. Many of the shops were closed down. But we were still able to shop at the other stores that were able to remain open.

We also had lunch at one of the restaurants inside. There are a few to choose from depending on what you looking to to eat. Sushi, ramen, curry and more. On the east side of the mall where Daiso is you'll find this cute bridge and fountain underneath. They also have also model displays out of buildings and clothing.

It's definitely worth the walk here if you are staying outside of Japantown.

This lovely mall is located under the Taipei Main Station. I love the underground system Taipei has built out. Everything is connected underground and you can easily walk from end of the city to the other all underground.

The stores have varied opening and closing times not posted anywhere by the way. But it was nice way for us to beat the heat and hectic scene of crossing the street above. It was fun going to all the shops and arcades. The coin machines are super popular here. There were rows of nothing but coin machines that offer everything from dolls, electronics, figurines and even tamagotchis! Which my husband won for me! Fun way to kill time and explore.

Fun little diner that takes you back into time and with classic diner favorites. It was a beautiful weekend and we wanted to grab brunch.

We sat inside so I could see the inside, there was so much to look at it. It was fun spotting all the little items while we were waiting for our food. They have classic antiques and collection of classic photos and toys. Service was good and the food came out quickly. We both ordered vegetable scrambler. Eggs, cheddar, spinach, onions and tomatoes. One version with egg whites only. Choice of hashbrowns or potatoes. Side of toast or muffin. It was just the right amount of food. The scramble was simple but really good! Sourdough toast was good, they butter it as well. They have jam on the table if you prefer to add jam or jelly. It's classic comfort diner breakfast staples. Simple menu not too much fuss.

Really enjoyed it, would definitely come back again.

First movie theater experience in Vietnam. I was able to purchase our tickets online and picked our seats. I will caution when booking. Make sure to check to see if the movie is being dubbed in vietnamese or in English with vietnamese subtitles.

Once you arrive, show the counter clerk your QR code, and you'll get a paper ticket. The concession stand is right next to it. When we went, there wasn't anyone checking tickets. But when we left, they had someone at the front.

The theater is a good size. The seats are okay. A little spoiled with the reclining lazy boy chairs back home. But it was not uncomfortable. The staff keeps the theater clean. Definitely would watch another movie here again.

We were in the area for Tet. Since the cigar lounge was closed we came down here for a drink. My husband was able to get a cigar they offered a small selection. We did not get any food. I had their fresh baby coconut. It was super refreshing and ice cold. They had all the fans going and it kept the temperature really nice. It offers great views of Nguyen Hue and the surrounding D1 area. It is a nice place to sit and relax but if you are looking for a party bar this might not be the vibe.
