Alderwood Santa Cruz
We had a wonderful dinner at Alderwood. The food was delicious and well worth the prices. My favorite was the Hen of the Woods mushroom dish. The flavors on every dish were on point.
But there is one drawback that keeps sticking to my mind. We had arrived 10 minutes before opening, and we had no reservations. We asked the host if they allowed walk-ins, and she said that they have limited walk-in spots but that she couldn't seat us until 5 pm. She asked us to wait aside at the curb, but when 2 more pairs of walk-in guests arrived before 5 pm, they were seated promptly! I brought it up to the hostess and we were given the last walk-in seats... 🤔 in any case, we were fortunate to have had such delicious food on our visit to Santa Cruz!
