We went here for my partner’s birthday with a few friends and family last week (around 7-8 of us). Let me start off by saying, the drinks were good and we generally enjoyed the cocktails. The service was so bad, we wanted to get the hell out of there.

Since my partner and a family member had their birthdays in the same week, so we decided to have two rounds of shots to celebrate. We asked our waitress if we could get two rounds of shots. She curtly replied “this is not a dive bar”. And then proceeded to say something about how the bar is ‘fancier’. The subtext was clear. That pretty much set the mood for the evening.

We did not ask for free shots or ask anything for free. We just wanted two rounds of shots along with all the other drinks that we were going to order anyway. If you don’t want to serve two rounds at the same time - there are infinite more respectful ways to convey that to us. If you don’t want certain clientele - let the customers know so that we don’t have to sit through it. The disrespect and condescension was apparent for the rest of the time that we were there.

We were taken in by the reviews. We expected better.
