Golf Course Quinta da Ria
Ambassadors trip to Algarve, course 7/7.
Last day of our trip.
We arrived early morning, quickly checked in with no practice and off to play, because we need to catch our planes back home.
Course is next to ocean, so its flat, with no high elevation difference, easy to walk. Since early morning its very crowded here, due the adjacent hotel resort.
Holes are not very difficult, despite lot of water hazards, however with not very interesting design, but still very challenging.
However quality is something really great. One of the best greens for whole week as well as tee boxes which are awesome quality. Back nine is more demanding for good shots than front nine. Both nines end next to clubhouse.
What was distracting me were fly's, so I suggest to play with trousers and not with shorts.
Looking forward to come back and play the championship course there.

Good place with great location. Average selection of breakfast. Good coffee. One star less for paid playground for kids and old croissant.
Marbella Golf Country Club
Spain golf vacation 3/5. Coming to Costa del Sol to play some good courses. Since we are crazy golfer we had for afternoon booked another course and it was Marbella GCC :D. We tried to move our tee time, but not possible since it was packed. We arrived from Arqueros, had quick lunch and drink, hit the training areas. Checking was OK, what i did not like there in restaurant that there are empty reserved tables for members in shade and free tables for tourists on sun, when we asked if can move there answer was no that we are in Marbella we should be OK with sun. So not very polite if than manager seated group non member is shade. At 3pm we hit the course, and what a nice surprise, very playable course with many interesting and nice shots. Front nine is more hilly back nine is more flat and open. Greens were OK not great but OK as well as fairways, what I see as problem in Costa del Sol is leveling tee boxes they are not in good shape. If I have to choose signature hole I would probably go for few like 2, 7, 9 :D. Anyway interesting course wort of play, price was also good compare to quality, will definitely come again. And yes we were able to finish before dark.

Coming to Costa del Sol to play some good courses. Last round on our trip, before we fly away. I try to be short this time. As always very fast and pleasant checking and booking, Spain standard. If I say that training areas are close, I will repeat myself :D. Highlight here is the starter, very funny guy, like his jokes he does his job well. Did not have high expectations because had references from friend who played there is past. This course is not our cup of tee, layout is nothing special, few interesting holes there like (8, 12, 17) Quality was so so, greens OK, however for the price they charge they need to do better, I would rather go to Marbella GCC. For me this layout is not very interesting. We did not even eat there because rates there are for same quality 20% higher than anywhere else.
