Quite possibly my favorite restaurant in the entire known universe. New Orleans is known for good food, and Bayona is the diamond in the tiara. The menu is changed daily and the ingredients are always seasonal, fresh, and top quality. The veal sweetbreads with lemon and caper sauce is my death-row dish. On our last visit, our server Raphael was impeccable, helpful, and made numerous suggestions to help us navigate the menu.

I’m not quite sure Heaven exists. Maybe it does, but probably not for scoundrels like me. But if there’s a chance, I hope it is like Bayona.
