Frist Art Museum
Was in town for a conference and had some time to kill, so stopped into the museum to see what they had to offer.
At the time they had a very cool exhibit from Beatrix Potter, which was awesome and brought back lots to childhood memories. And they had a very cool Afrofuturism mini exhibit.
Also, really enjoyed the student art exhibit. It looked like they were in the process of setting up the next incoming exhibit so a big section was closed off at the time, but the museum itself for what I saw was a nice space there in Nashville.
Probably only need about 1 1/2 hours tops to see the whole thing right now, but that could look different with the other exhibit space being open.

Matinee
Went with the Young Black Professionals of WNY Meetup group for happy hour and despite our large group, we all have excellent service from the staff.
Enjoyed the overall vibe and aesthetic of this being a bar in the theater district which was cool.
I got the Wednesday special which was $20 for the pizza of the week, beer, and a house shot. Overall a really great value and the pizza was really yummy.
I also tried two different cocktails to get a sense of their crafting. One was simple and just bourbon with apple cider which you can get hot or cold, and the Matinee mule which the bartender indicated was their most popular cocktail. Both were well made and tasted great.
Overall, this was a really great spot and definitely look forward to going again in the future!

Very affordable breakfast and very delicious too! I got The Whole Hog breakfast which came with bacon, sausage patties, sausage links, ham, eggs, home fries, and one hotcake and one slice of French toast. It was a very hearty breakfast and I definitely left filled up. Service was also quick, especially considering it was mid morning.

Checked out this place a few times while visiting Miami since it was close to my accommodations. Each time I went I was enjoyed what I had more and more. Between two breakfast meals and a dinner, I had the chicken and waffles (delicious and you can choose a wing or strips), the Baja special (one meat, eggs, and toast, plus toast and coffee), the steak and eggs breakfast, roasted pork sandwich (so juicy!), and a papaya smoothie (refreshing).
The staff were friendly and definitely speaking a bit of Spanish would have helped some with placing my orders, but that experience varied depending on the day/person.
All in all, I'd definitely recommend for breakfast, lunch, or an early dinner.
