What a treat to visit this place on a sunny day! This should be on every visitor to London's 'Must See' list - and every housing developers 'Must Include' list!

Such a wonderful place in the heart of the city.
I was really pleased to find this beautiful quiet pub in such a central location.

There is a secluded roof terrace (don't expect any views) with heaters and parasols for when the weather is playing ball.

Pleasant pub with friendly staff.
A wonderfully welcoming church in the heart of Euston.

The church itself is beautiful but if you venture round the side you will be rewarded with a tranquil green space to sit and contemplate. There are helpful interpretation boards giving history of the site and is well used by locals and visitors alike. There is a food kiosk so it all feels very safe and relaxed.

Look out for exhibitions in the crypt gallery and lunchtime recitals.
An unusual and well maintained little space, quite different from the usual planting one finds in public spaces and very much in keeping with its beach surroundings.

The Coade stone pillars are really quite striking and it's worth taking the time to have a good look at them and read about them on the interpretation boards. They are made from Coade stone, a type of weather-resistant ceramic. The pillars are listed structures and date back to the early 19th century. They were originally located in the garden of Argyle House, Hope Lane. The Portobello Amenity Society restored the pillars and erected them in the community garden.

The Portobello Community Garden is a popular spot for spending contemplative time. There is relaxed seating behind a fence that protects you from the wind. The wide flat paths allow easy access for all. The garden is a delightful area, a corner of tranquillity in contrast to the busy beach area.
The original Selfie Station! No visit to Edinburgh would be complete without a photo in front of the iconic pillars.
